In case you don't know, at a special event for Metal Gear's 25th anniversary a feature film was announced. I am a fan of Metal Gear so I was pretty excited. There are many reasons why this movie could be great but here is what I think they have to do in order to be successful:
- Make It About Snake: If there is one flaw with the Resident Evil movies, and trust me there are many, it would be that the films focus on new characters. When I see a Metal Gear movie I want to see Solid Snake in action. Why make up new characters to replace the great ones you already have?
- Make It for Everyone: Not everyone who is going to see this film will have played any of the Metal Gear/ Metal Gear Solid games so it will be important that you don't need to know anything going into it.
- Still Please the Fans: As much as it should be open to a new audience make sure to have a final product that the fans will enjoy. They were the ones who made this series popular in the first place.
